Hi, its Ann

Typing here to share my blood cancer adventure.

BLOOD: Last Bloody Bad Post

Okay.
Good news.
I met with my doctor to get the results of my Day 100 testing and all is well.
He told me the headline from the test results was in the first bullet point which said “no morphologic or immunophenotypic evidence of meyloid neoplasm.”
I said “so the cancer is gone.”
He said “the cancer is gone.”

Now I just need to finish recovering from the process to get rid of the cancer.
My blood is up to 99% donor, still 1% me.
Will hopefully finally be at 100% donor at the Day 180 testing.
Unfortunately I have been told it takes most people about a year to feel back to normal after transplant.
So next January/February I have feeling normal to look forward too and just need to be patient until then.

I’m free to start doing more regular life things.
Unfortunately I discovered pretty quickly that I have zero stamina.
I did some errands one day (yay driving again) and then spent the next two days recovering.
Did a long walk on a lovely spring day to smell lilacs and didn’t pay attention to the time and was going for too long and then spent the next two days recovering.
So.
I’m working on pacing myself and doing less more often to build stamina.
The goal is to build up some decent stamina over the next few weeks and then late June start working half days (mostly from home) to ease back into the working thing.
After a month of half days then hopefully going back to work full time.
Part of me is very ready to return to work.
I crave some normal life after these months of nothing but illness on the agenda.

This website was an interesting experiment and I thought about maybe using it to share more life things like my Crop Art and such but I’m just not into it at all.
This is going to be my last post.
I’ll leave it for a while and then take this site down.
Pretty sure anybody reading this knows how to reach me via text or email if you want to be in touch.
